How Weight Healthy Are You?

What do you think about your weight, do you think you are too fat or too thin?

What you think my not be as important you believe.

It does matter what you think because it will determine what you do and the lifestyle you live.

What matters most is your weight health.

There has been a lot of attention paid to obese people, but underweight people have health risks that are different.

Obese people have a greater risk for non-communicable diseases.

What is important is how weight healthy you are.

Medical experts have ways to determine whether one has a healthy weight or not, they use these methods to determine whether you are too thin or too fat.

The approved and most widely used is the body mass index(BMI).

BMI Readings:- If you BMI is less than 18 you are underweight.

- If your BMI is 25-30 you are overweight -if it is 30 and over you are obese.

Those three are unhealthy weights.

You are a healthy weight if it is 18-24.9.

Next measure your waist circumference.

A waist circumference of less than 35 for women and less than 40 for men are healthy.

Once you've determined how healthy your weight is start palnning to modify it.

You can manage your weight through diet and physical activity. These will have to become part of your lifestyle.

Consuming more calories than you burn will lead to weight gain; consuming less than you burn will lead to weight loss.

Chocolate Lovers Are Thinner Says A Study

Are you a chocolate lover and are overweight.

According to this study, you should be thinner.

The study involved 1,018 women and men. They exercised an average of 3.6 times per week and ate a healthy diet.

Those who ate chocolate 5 times per week had a body mass index( BMI)of 1 point lower than those who didn't eat chocolate regularly.

A BMI is the approved and most widely used tool for assessing weight health.

Other previous studies have linked dark chocolate to reducing heart disease.

Nutritionist and weight management personnel; on the other hand, are cautioning people about too much sugar in their diet.

Shift Work Increases Heart Attack Risk

The study involved 2 million participants from 34 studies.

Working the night shift was linked to a 41% increased risk for coronary disease.
